Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and review all necessary export documentation including invoices, shipping instructions, certificate of origin and customs declarations.
2. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export laws and company policies.
3. Develop and implement effective export strategies to optimize operational efficiency and drive business growth.
4. Identify new market opportunities to expand the company’s export network.
5. Plan, organize, and oversee all export activities, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.
6. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure proper documentation and procedures are adhered to throughout the export process.
7. Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations governing international shipping and trade.
8. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding export logistics, addressing quarries, and resolving issues promptly.
9. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
10. Negotiate contracts and pricing with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to optimize shipping costs and service levels.
11. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely collection of relevant shipping documents and updates on shipment status.
12. Monitor and manage export costs and budget ensuring profitability of export projects.
13. Conduct market research to identify new export opportunities, trends, and potential clients.
14. Develop and implement strategies to enhance export operations and expand the company’s market presence.
15. Supervise and mentor export team members, providing training and guidance on export procedures and compliance.
16. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge-sharing and professional development.
17. Identify potential risks in the export process and develop contingency plans to mitigate those risks.
18. Ensure that all shipments are adequately insured and comply with safety regulations.

Qualification:

1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International business, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in export management or logistics within a clearing and forwarding environment.
3. Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and export documentation.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
6. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
