Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute operational strategies to optimize breeding programs and meet production targets.
2. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including veterinary services, supply chain, and sales.
4. Implement breeding plans focused on genetic improvement, animal welfare, and sustainability.
5. Analyze performance metrics of breeding programs and drive continuous improvements.
6. Maintain accurate records of breeding activities and outcomes.
7. Recruit, train, and manage a team of breeding professionals and operational staff.
8. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
9. Conduct performance reviews and provide mentorship to team members.
10. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, animal welfare standards, and environmental guidelines.
11. Establish and monitor quality assurance protocols for breeding operations.
12. Prepare and manage budgets for breeding operations.
13. Oversee procurement and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and supplies.
14. Optimize resource allocation to achieve operational efficiency.
15. Collaborate with stakeholders including farmers, suppliers, and research organizations.
16. Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums.
17. Identify potential risks to operations and implement mitigation strategies.
18. Develop contingency plans to address emergencies or operational disruptions.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years in breeding operations.
3. Proven track record of managing large-scale breeding programs.
4. Expertise in breeding techniques, genetic evaluation, and animal health management.
5. Proficiency in data analysis and technology tools used in breeding operations.
6. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
7. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
