Job Title: SENIOR PORT MACHINERY SERVICE ENGINEER (POST 1)

Industry: AUTOMOTIVE

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all port machinery (e.g., cranes, RTGs, reach stackers) operate according to specifications and comply with safety standards.
2. Prepare detailed technical reports on machinery performance, maintenance activities, failures, and corrective actions.
3. Promote and uphold a safety-first culture across maintenance and operational teams.
4. Maintain updated documentation of all service records, inspection results, and warranty claims.
5. Analyze recurring technical issues and recommend design, product, or process improvements to headquarters.
6. Act as a senior technical advisor to clients, providing prompt resolutions to complex machinery issues.
7. Evaluate team performance during service activities and recommend improvements in skills, tools, and processes.
8. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with port operators, logistics companies, and government authorities.
9. Conduct regular safety assessments before initiating technical tasks or maintenance work.
10. Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency machinery breakdowns at port locations

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
2. Minimum 3 – 4 years of hands-on experience in port equipment maintenance and service.
3. Strong technical expertise in port machinery operation and maintenance.
4.  Proficient in diagnostic tools and technical reporting.
5. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
6.  Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
7. Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
8. Good leadership, team evaluation, and mentoring abilities.
9. Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams, clients, and authorities.
10.  Customer-oriented mindset with strong relationship management skills.
