Responsibilities:
- Ensure Coordination between organizations.
- Provide Technical advice on project management (design and planning) to ensure time-efficient implementation of the project activities to fulfill the project objectives.
- Ensure relevant data on project activities is collected, reviewed, and analyzed.
- Ensure quality in monitoring and reporting of project activities (including data collection and analysis for the project).
- Ensure project and activities compliance with the organization.
- To work hand in hand with organization staff to ensure organizational sustainability.
- Assist with daily administrative duties and complete a variety of administrative tasks that include managing an active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for meetings.
- Communicate with members on the Chairperson’s behalf and coordinate logistics of high-level meetings both internally and externally.
- Assist in strategic engagements and fundraising activities (including funding proposal preparation).
- Communicate directly and on behalf of the organization with Board members, donors, foundation staff, and others on matters related to programmatic initiatives as directed.
- Draft reports, letters of solicitation, and proposals; prepare and coordinate oral and written communication with donors and prospective donors.
- Coordinate Executive, Finance, Governance & Nominating, and Audit Committee meetings; maintain confidential files and contact information; coordinate meetings, conferences, and committees both on and off-site to support agenda.
- Represent YWE in designated meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a social sciences background or any other relevant degree.
- At least 5 years’ experience working and providing support to upper-level management in related organizations.
- Experience in coordinating programs/projects and fundraising activities
- Experience in working with youth associations.
- A good understanding of gender and youth mainstreaming in Trade and development policies in developing countries.
- Ability to conduct research and present data.
- Fluency in both Swahili and English.
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, database, presentation, etc.).
- Excellent writing and analytical skills.
