Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize production and maximize profitability.
- Identify growth opportunities and enhance the company’s competitive edge in the broiler industry.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align operational goals with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee breeding, rearing, and harvesting operations to ensure optimal yield and quality.
- Implement and monitor biosecurity protocols to prevent diseases and maintain bird health.
- Ensure adherence to animal welfare standards and best farming practices.
- Manage the procurement of feed, equipment, and other essential supplies.
- Oversee processing, packaging, and distribution activities to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Optimize supply chain processes to minimize costs and reduce waste
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and staff across various operational functions.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Address staffing needs, training programs, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare regular reports for stakeholders on operational performance and key metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business Administration.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in the broiler or poultry industry.
- Strong knowledge of broiler production systems, supply chain management, and biosecurity protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, operational planning, and financial management.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and quality standard
- Strategic thinking and decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
