Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes according to traditional and modern recipes.
- Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of food meet the restaurant’s standards.
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently, ensuring timely food preparation and service.
- Monitor food stock and place orders as needed to maintain inventory.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as required.
- Always maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen safety protocols.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and seasonal offerings.
- Manage waste control and maintain cost efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or Cook in a reputed restaurant or hotel.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Chinese ingredients, techniques, and equipment.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and team leadership skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
