Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents.
  2. Track income and expenses from poultry sales, feed purchases, and other operational costs.
  3. Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  4. Analyze operational costs such as feed, utilities, labor, and transportation.
  5. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
  6. Provide insights on cost control and optimization strategies to management.
  7. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, GST/VAT filings, and other statutory obligations.
  8. Prepare and submit tax returns within prescribed deadlines.
  9. Maintain thorough knowledge of agricultural tax benefits and incentives
  10. Manage employee payroll and ensure timely disbursements.
  11. Handle vendor payments and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
  12. Maintain records of inventory such as feed stock, medicine, and equipment.
  13. Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documents and explanations.
  14. Establish and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  15. Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities as needed.
  16. Support management in strategic decision-making with financial data analysis
  17.  

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in the agriculture or poultry industry.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems).
  5. Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis.
  6. Excellent understanding of taxation and compliance regulations related to the agriculture sector.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
