Responsibilities:
- Reconcile daily sales reports with bank statements, identifying and flagging any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales and transaction records, conduct data analysis, and perform regular spot checks to ensure internal compliance.
- Manage and monitor petty cash, ensuring all vouchers and receipts are properly recorded and available for audit purposes.
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents efficiently and accurately.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, and assist in bank reconciliation processes.
- Input financial data into the accounting system, maintaining completeness and accuracy of records.
- Update daily reports on sales, fuel consumption, stock levels, cash deposits, and credit transactions.
- Maintain a well-organized filing system for both digital and physical financial records.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department, ensuring proper document filing and efficient record-keeping.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual summaries.
- Work with other departments to resolve any accounting discrepancies and ensure compliance with policies.
- Contribute to budget preparation and forecasting by compiling and analyzing financial data.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
- Stay informed on financial regulations and accounting best practices relevant to the industry
Requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA is added advantage.
- Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role, preferably within the fuel or energy sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and audit practices.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
