Responsibilities
- Provide documentation of all maintenance activities.
- Create improvement plans for maintenance processes.
- Ensure Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and regulations are followed.
- Implement improved maintenance regimes to enhance the reliability of bus systems.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Lead technical recovery, complex fault analysis, and testing of bus fleet and systems.
- Â Foster strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and support.
- Prepare and manage the sales department budget, including forecasting and financial planning.
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve financial goals.
- Lead the overall implementation of the bus fleet maintenance regime.
- Manage the annual budget for the department.
- Manage multiple contractors to ensure safety requirements as well as operating and quality standards are met.
- Manage the workshop’s performance in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams.
- Recommend vendors based on proposal evaluation and cost.
- Review and approve maintenance schedule and manpower plans.
- Review audits on maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
- 3 years experience in the workshops Department with a strong technical understanding of heavy trucks.
- Proven experience in a sales management role, preferably within the automotive or heavy truck industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
