Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal and HR compliance support to outsourcing clients.
- Represent the company and clients in mediation or labour offices where required.
- Monitor and ensure proper record-keeping and statutory filings for clients (e.g., contracts, payroll compliance).
- Draft and advise on employment contracts, HR policies, warning letters, and other related documents.
- Conduct training or awareness sessions on employee rights, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Participate in disciplinary procedures, hearings, and investigation processes.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
- Must be an admitted Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and actively practicing.
- Additional certification or coursework in Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations will be an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years of post-admission experience in labour law practice and HR compliance.
- Proven experience handling labour disputes, employment contracts, disciplinary procedures, and workplace investigations.
- Practical experience with HR Consulting services/outsourced HR services or supporting multiple client accounts is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Solid understanding of the Employment and Labour Relations Act, Labour Institutions Act, and Occupational Safety and Health Act.
- Strong knowledge of employee rights, termination processes, HR documentation, and compliance
- Excellent communication and advisory skills for interacting with clients and government authorities.
- Ability to draft and review HR-related legal documents, contracts, and policies.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple client files and ensure timely compliance.
