Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry, reconciliations, and generate financial reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Track receivables, resolve payment disputes, manage overdue payments, and foster strong vendor relationships.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, and conduct basic financial analysis.
- Support the senior accounting team in tax filing preparations and maintain compliance with relevant tax codes.
- Monitor expenditures against budgets, prepare variance reports, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal audits and upholding internal control procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments, handle multiple tasks efficiently, and communicate financial insights clearly to stakeholders.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3 years) as an accounting assistant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with accounting software, especially QuickBooks.
- Strong skills in data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Understanding of tax codes and ability to assist in tax preparation.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track expenses, monitor budgets, and prepare variance reports.
- Familiarity with internal control practices and audit processes.
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
