Job Purpose: The main purpose of the Stock Controller will be to control the planning, purchasing, movement, and storage of the stock.

Responsibilities

1. To implement appropriate controls to ensure inventory holding always meets required demand forecasts.
2. Improving the parts availability against Open sales orders (Closing the SO with efficient time)
3. Keeping the service team up to date on the status of ordered parts
4. Liaise with and manage shipping agents in clearing imported items. You will also track the performance of shipping agents and provide recommendations to management when required.
5. Ensure import activities are aligned with relevant legislation and the company’s Compliance Policies.
6. Manage all financial duties regarding import and export processes in an effective and responsible way.
7. Plan and implement import strategy and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements staying cost-effective to the organization.
8. Organize the warehouse/store areas, making the best and most efficient use of space, taking into account customer, company, and product requirements.
9. Keep detailed records of stock, by quantity and value, and regularly ensure that physical stocks reconcile with stock records
10. Manage all warehousing operations, from the goods receipt, storage, and timely picking of goods; to shipment, documentation, and data entry into the system.

Requirements and qualifications

1. Relevant tertiary degree or Diploma in Logistics Management/Freight Forwarding.
2. 2-4 years of experience is desirable in a comparable organization.
3. Good understanding and working knowledge of incoterms.
4. Comfortable working with different rates of exchanges and mathematical calculations.
5. IT skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook, particularly Microsoft Excel, and Previous experience in Microsoft Dynamics.
6. High degree of financial acumen and accuracy.
7. Good interpersonal skills.
8. Able to work independently and on their initiative.
9. Strong time management skills.
10. Excellent communication skills: must be able to effectively deliver information clearly, concisely, accurately, and timely.
11. Excellent eye for detail: must be looking out for what has not been discussed, must be anticipating problems before they arise.
