Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
  2. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  3. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to product quality or delivery.
  4. Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of all restaurant goods, including food, beverages, and non-food items.
  5. Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and manage stock levels effectively.
  6. Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  7. Develop and execute purchasing strategies to meet the restaurant’s needs while adhering to budget constraints.
  8. Place and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  9. Review and approve invoices and purchase orders in coordination with the finance department.
  10. Analyze market trends and pricing to forecast and manage procurement costs.
  11. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  12. Develop and monitor budgets for procurement activities.
  13. Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  14. Conduct quality checks on products and ensure they meet the restaurant’s specifications and standards.
  15. Work closely with the culinary team to understand their requirements and preferences.
  16. Coordinate with the kitchen staff to forecast future needs based on menu changes or special events.
  17. Liaise with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of goods and services.
  18. Prepare and present procurement reports, including spending analysis and inventory status, to senior management.
  19. Provide insights and recommendations based on procurement data and trends.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
  2. Proven 2 – 3 years of experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within the food and beverage industry.
  3. Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  4. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  6. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Knowledge of food safety standards and quality control practices.
