Requirements and qualifications

1. Diploma, or bachelor’s degree or higher in translation, linguistics, languages, or a related field is preferred.
2. 3 and above years of Proven experience in translating.
3. Certification or accreditation in translation or interpretation is advantageous.
4. Excellent writing in Chinese and English.
5. A deep understanding of grammar, vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, and cultural nuances in all three languages is necessary.
6. Familiarity with Chinese, English, and Swahili-speaking cultures is crucial for accurately conveying messages and avoiding cultural misunderstandings.
7. Proficiency in basic computer skills is necessary for managing translation and document preparations.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translation, proofreading, and editing is essential to maintain the integrity of the original message.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all three languages are necessary for effective communication with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
10. Willingness to adapt to changing requirements, work independently or as part of a team, and learn new skills as needed.
11. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, if necessary, to accommodate clients in different time zones.
