Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and coordinate all aspects of export shipments from booking confirmation to delivery at the destination.
  2. Liaise with shipping lines to confirm space availability, negotiate rates and arrange for the shipment of goods.
  3. Prepare and ensure the accuracy of all export documentation, including bill of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and export permits.
  4. Verify that all documents comply with customer requirements.
  5. Work closely with customs brokers to ensure all customs clearance processes are properly handled,
  6. Monitor compliance with export regulations and provide support for any audits or inspections.
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their export shipment, providing updates and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  8. Collaborate with operation team to coordinate shipping schedules aligned with customer needs.
  9. Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and provide status updates to clients as needed.
  10. Address and resolve any issues related to shipping delays, documentation discrepancies or customs clearance challenges.
  11. Proactively identify potential shipping disruptions and implement solutions.
  12. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to export shipping and documentation.
  13. Participate in training and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in international shipping
  14. Maintain accurate records of shipping activities and provide regular updates to management regarding export operations.
  15. Share daily shipping line reports to the export team group and management at the end of the working day.

Qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  2. 2 to 4 years of experience in shipping, export documentation or logistics within a clearing and forwarding company.
  3. Experience in roles related to customer service or operations within a shipping company can be beneficial.
  4. Strong understanding of export regulations, customs procedures and shipping logistics.
  5. Excellent organizational, analytical and multitasking skills.
  6. Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and any logistics management software.
  7. Strong communication and negotiation skills
  8. Ability to work in an office environment with occasional visits to shipping lines offices.
